Akka and other things
- why is everyone surprised? this is the not the first time, nor will be the last, jews scream death to arabs. settlers are doing their part in the west bank by beating up Palestinian farmers, while their counterparts within israel do more or less the same thing.
israel is a racist state, built on a racist ideology which sets the jews as ultimately superior to arabs (both chrisitan and muslim).
it is not surprising, therefore, when some israeli jews act on such an ideology.
- how can anyone play this off as a clash between extremists on both sides? how is a man driving home minding his own business an extremist? how is it his fault that he was attacked by jewish youth on yom kippur because they felt he was out of line?
- i am sick and tired of hearing israeli propagandists say that palestinian citizens of israel got it made. Last i checked, when you're faced with various types of racism (institutional and otherwise) life ain't pretty.
- in the meantime, palestinian leadership (if we can even call it that- such a misnomer) sucks.
- in the meantime, settlement expansion continues- in the meantime, gaza remains a prison
- in the meantime, everyone continues to assert that israel is a democracy.
